Jack Daniels Boozey Brownie with Burbon Vanilla Caramel

Jack Daniels Boozey Brownie with Burbon Vanilla Caramel

Aaww a Star is Born! And it is delizioso!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I’m sure I have said this before but I will say it again, my husband always has room for dessert. Unfortunately for him, we eat so late I never really make desserts. Tis’ that time of year when I do want something sweet and brownies will always be my first choice!!! These boozy brownies are faster then you think even with the caramel drizzle.

Let’s get right to it…here is the ingredients list:

Ms Foodies Jack Danilles Brownies with Vanilla Caramel

1 stick of butter
½ cup coconut oil
3-4 oz dark chocolate unsweetened or bittersweet
½ cup unsweetened cacao or cocoa powder
1½ cups raw sugar
½ tsp Himalayan salt
½ Tbs vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour mixed with whole-wheat 50/50
1/3 cup Jack Daniels

For caramel sauce:
½ cup sugar
1 ½ Tbs water
¼ cup cream
1oz Bourbon Vanilla or Dirty Vanilla

First in a double boiler, melt together your oil and butter…aaww I love that smell.

Grab your unsweetened chocolate, I do love Ghirardelli or Scharffen Berger for this recipe but I am a total San Francisisco bay girl what can I say.

Break it up and toss in double boiler

While that melts as you occasionally stir, start mixing the dry ingredients but NOT THE FLOUR yet. In the top you can see my black lava salt LOVE IT!!

Blend your dry together then, Crack some eggs…

Give a good mix and  add your melted butter, oil and CHOCOLATE!!

Now the fun part…

Now you can add your flour…this way you are not over mixing your glutens. Don’t forget your vanilla!! If you look close you can see the teeny tiny vanilla beans.

Look at that lovely yummy batter!! I could just eat it with a spoon all day long. Bake 350 for 30-45 mins but always check for done-ness because ovens are all different.

While you bake…make your caramel sauce. This is super easy to reheat and this keeps nicely in the fridge.

Just let the water, vanilla and sugar sit and boil DO NOT STIR.

Once it starts to look like dark golden amber, remove from heat..give a stir and add your cream.

Grab that cooled brownie. You can see where I poked it with my wooded skewer.

Now make yummy editable art

These brownies are amazing on top of Vanilla Pudding or a lovely Crème anglaise. Which is a light pouring custard made like pudding by mixing sugar, egg yolks and hot milk with vanilla.

I forgot the walnuts…trust me the possibilities are endless here.

oxox Ms Foodie

Have a Hallow great time!!

I know people are freaky about consuming raw eggs but mine are fresh from  non GMO fed chickens who live happy lives in the garden. I do not recommend anyone to do this with store bought eggs. Eat raw food at your own risk oxox
