Skin Care Smoothies… You Can Drink and Wear

Skin Care Smoothies… You Can Drink and Wear

Many Whole Foods have powerhouse ingredients that will help keep your
skin supple, smooth and help fight age-related damage. Today it is all
about my beloved Strawberry!

Did you know strawberries have more anti-aging vitamin C per serving
than oranges or grapefruits do? Research has shown that people who eat
foods rich in vitamin C have fewer wrinkles. It has also shown that
when those vitamin C lovers start to age, their skin is not as dry; then those who don’t.

How vitamin C works inside and out. Easy answer, Vitamin C fights free radicals. Free radicals damage
cells then break down collagen, leading to fine lines and wrinkles.

Want to fight back and get a healthy dose of berries?

Try a strawberry smoothie while wearing a “Pink-Berry Mask”

For the smoothie:

Blend 1 cup of frozen strawberries and blueberries.

1 cup of plain yogurt or coconut yogurt

top with ice, splash of water and blend till smooth.

For the mask:

You don’t even have to rinse the blender.

“Pink-Berry Mask”

1/4 cup of strawberries (thawed if frozen) or use fresh
pop them in the blender, with a dollop of plain yogurt and tablespoon of honey.

You can always smash with a for instead of using a blender if you are skipping the smoothie.

mask to face over a sink or even outside if you are getting your 15
minutes of Vitamin D (sunshine) at the same time.

This mask will keep well in an airtight mason jar for a few days in the
fridge. So you only need to make one mask for 2 days a week.
If you want a short cut, just add honey and wear the smoothie you’re drinking.

If you have acne add some fresh lemon juice to your mask.
